Klika Tech, an IoT and Cloud products and solutions developer, collaborated with Quext, a technology subsidiary of property owner and developer Madera Residential, to create an IoT-powered solution for reducing costly, multi-unit property management inefficiencies. An integration of custom hardware, software and Amazon Web Services (AWS) IoT Core became the foundation for an entirely new approach to streamlining property management. A custom thermostat was developed to enable wireless monitoring and control of each unit’s climate, but also became the gateway for remote control of smart apartment solutions, including smart locks. The platform leverages LoRa low-power wide-area network technology to transmit data and traffic routing between apartments, and ultimately unites all the maintenance and service data in a property management back-end.
